1. Do you offer a free consultation call?​​

                                Yes! I offer a free 10-minute consultation call. Think of this as a brief "interview" where we can each ask questions to explore if we are a good fit for one another. I am not going to be the best therapist for everyone or every need, and I want to support you in determining that in our call. If I am not the best fit, I am happy to provide recommendations to other therapists.

2.) Since it is telehealth, can I see you when I am traveling out of state?

Unfortunately, no, I am only able to see you when you are in the state of Virginia.

3.) What can I expect in the first session?

This session is the initial intake appointment. This is where I will ask numerous questions to explore more of your history, factors that have brought you to therapy, and to explore symptoms that may lead to a mental health related diagnosis. We will also discuss your goals for therapy, confidentiality, and therapeutic boundaries.

4.) Can you prescribe medication?

No, I cannot. However, I have wonderful colleagues in the community that I am happy to connect you with to support your beginning, changing or continuing psychiatric medication management.

5.) What platform do you use for telehealth?

I use a HIPAA compliant Zoom account.

6.) What is telehealth etiquette?

While in a telehealth setting, I will ensure your confidentiality is kept on my side. It is expected of you to keep your space confidential. This would mean that others are not in attendance for your session, listening to, and/or recordings of any kind. Driving during session is not permitted, and you will be asked to reschedule if you are unable to find a place to park for the duration of the session. Any applicable late cancellation fees will apply.
